Newsweek Feature
Austin, TX --
October 8, 2007 --
Cain and Able Collection’s all-natural dog shampoos and sprays were featured on “The Tip Sheet” in Newsweek magazine in October of 2007. The article, “How to Cut Your Carbon Paw Print” by Joan Raymond, was about an environmental consultant who not only recycles, doesn’t litter, and eats organic, but also feeds his rescue dogs all-natural organic food. In his determination to be earth-friendly, he uses a biodegradable box to scoop his dogs’ waste and plans to make leashes from hemp. Cain and Able Collection was recognized as one of the few pet care companies now selling earth-friendly all-natural products. The author of the article even commented about our products being tested on humans first.
Candace Smith, President of Cain & Able Collection, commented, “Since we don’t use harsh detergents, synthetic perfumes or artificial colors, you don’t have to worry about your grass dying or the run off when you bathe your dog in your backyard. Small things like this can add up to make a big different in the impact we make to our environment.”
About Cain & Able Collection
Created in 2003, Cain & Able Collection, LLC was based on the following beliefs: that humans are lucky to have dogs – they make our lives happier and more fulfilling; that the best way to repay our dogs for their loyalty and companionship is to nurture them – do things for them that they can’t do for themselves; that many ailments can be treated by invigorating the body’s own defenses with natural remedies; and, that clean dogs get more love and attention! So, we create All Natural products to help you nurture your best friend. The original Cain & Able Collection product line, Every Dog Has His Day Spa, includes Shampoos, Conditioners, Between Bath Spritz, Soap-on-a-Rope, Candles, Accessories, and Gift Sets. These aromatherapy-inspired products combine the rejuvenating experience of visiting a spa with the practical benefits of essential oils. The KissAble Doggie Dental Products were added in October 2006 to ward off bad breath, gum disease, multiple infections, and heart disease. In January 2008, Dirty & Hairy Go Ahead Make My Day Spa was introduced for dogs that like to run through the mud, frolic in ditches, and root through debris. The products are available in over 2500 retail establishments in the U.S and also distributed in 15 other countries. For further information, please visit the web site at CainAndAbleCollection.com.
